The terminator technology, a patented process now owned by Monsanto and the USDA, eradicates a critical element of the growing process by genetically altering plants to prohibit reproduction. Pretty disgusting, isn't it?? And they've hired all of those private investigators to go out and collect samples from the fields of farmers who use that seed to ensure they are abiding by Monsanto's stipulations. Too bad the gold bugs aren't more voiciferous in their protestations against this kind of danger, than a shiny yellow metal. Monsanto will one day face SERIOUS anti-trust action and hopefully serious investigation from the EPA, FDA, and Agriculture department. There is always the danger you espoused about this genetic trait finding its way into the natural reproductive cycle of other plants through cross-pollenization. That's not a risk I would be willing to take. However, I have absolutely no idea why you decided to pose this information to me. Far more frightening is the fact that Great Britain has admitted currently working on genetically altered biological weapons, purely as a defensive measure mind you. There is fear that these types of biological weapons will fall into the hands of terrorists and that we'd be defenseless to provide vaccines. In fact, it is believe that genetically altered viruses could be created that focus upon specific ethnicities in the ultimate form of "ethnic cleansing". One day, children will be innoculated with all kinds of genetically altered vaccines representing the most likely biological weapons available the average "do-it-yourself" genocidal maniac.
