Peter, thanks, I guess I knew about the drowsiness associated w/ many anti-histamines... and it might make sense that if histamines are regulators / modulators of neurotransmitter release, that blocking their effect would down-regulate over-all arousal-- (if it's stimulating NTs that are getting blocked)

It just never ceases to amaze me how our bodies use and reuse the same molecules for multiple, extremely diverse functions... and how simplistic our models of drug discovery and function are / how difficult it must be to account for or predict what reactions may ensue.
