Sonki,

Re Sun new chip, MAJC, due out in a year, Paul Engel points out over on the Intel thread that Sun has announced various new chips, like Java engines and Ultrasparc III that either never came out or are late by a year or more. They also have no chip fabs of their own, relying largely on TI. Paul sees no threat to Intel. Then again, Paul defends Intel pretty strongly. I do agree on this one, though. That chip, if it ever comes to life, doesn't run any mainstream operating systems, right? Makes it a No-op.

Anyone that has been wanting to buy Microsoft, go ahead and do so. I've managed to drive it down pretty well by buying it.

Cisco should start an earnings run any day now.
