DS and thread: disregard my previous post. There are errors all over it, and correcting them took more time than the edit window allowed.

See following.

DS and thread: Here's what I should have said to begin with.

On the NTAP home page is an IDC article (posted earlier I think) showing their market growing roughly 50% annually for the next four years, with NTAP currently commanding 40% of it, and ASPX at 20%.

Referring to the SI profiles on each, NTAP is 17X the larger. ASPX is losing sales and posting losses, currently dropping 7 mil on 30 mil in revenue. When NTAP was at 30 mil revenue, it had profits of ~4 mil...back in mid 1997. At that time, ASPX had 50 mil revenue and ~ 5 mil profit. NTAP passed ASPX in sales in late '97, early '98.

(my error on the previous post was mistaking market cap for annual revenue...hey, look at the time stamp. I gotta cut this out!)

chaz, I gotta catch a plane, so I can't put any time into this very interesting discovery of yours. Will do some research later. Thanks.
