Nice post on PCNA:

The ingredients were in place for a run on Monday. The buying activity toward the close of Friday spelled good things to come. But PCNA did something unexpected. They put out a press release!

Had PCNA held off on any news today. I'm of the opinion that buying pressure would have continued in anticipation of the "big" event. Oh. Didn't you hear? PCNA is going to launch the web portal on Tuesday, August 03.

We are talking about "expected" news. Not "unexpected" news. So when news hit regarding the web portal, the reaction by investors proved disappointing. Traders started to unload. Skittish investors started to unload. And if there were any shorters out there, today was a good day to cover.

What will Tuesday bring? According to the press release today, it will bring the web portal at 1pm. What exactly, however, is the significance of the web portal? To use an analogy, it is the horse that pulls the cart. But where is the cart? The cart is about 30 days away. The cart is the legal superstore and online directory where the web portal is the traffic that builds the store.

Let me put things another way. PCNA reported a profit in the most recent quarter. This followed quarters of lossess and came on the heels of a restructuring effort. With current operations streamlined and now profitable, the second phase of the restructuring effort is now being implemented. This second phase making up and entailing online activities. What can be expected of online activities going forward? Lets see. PCNA on June 22 stated that total expenditures in regards to online activities totaled $50,000 to date. And they did what? They sold $50,000 of advertising on a legal directory not yet released where 40% of the customers paid cash upfront.

The key dates here is "not" August 03. Rather, August 09 (ie: trading day after Bar Convention) and the first week of September. August 09 to the first of September, the web portal will generate hits. How many? How successful? During the first week of September, the legal store and online directory is scheduled to come online. What kind of revenues can be expected? Will these operations prove profitable? What's next? A medical directory?

How does one make money on the Net? Right now, the hands down way to make money on the NET is through advertising. But generating advertising revenue is new for PCNA. Ha!

In closing, and should PCNA ever break above $5.00 per share. It will break $5.00 per share in a big way. PCNA is a company in transition to becoming an internet concern. One that not only looks to be profitable going forward. But one that is worth less than $15 million. And think about this. College Students are the biggest users of the internet. There are more College Students in law school than there are lawyers in practice. And what can I say? That fact alone scares me more than any 20% drop in the stock price! It isn't everyday one will make money off a lawyer. Savor the moment!>>

I agree. I wish A@P would leave us alone, and let us discuss stocks. We've got a good group going here, and I'd hate to see it broken up by OT squabling (i.e. A@Ps argumentative attitude). Let's keep the eyes on the prize, and ignore the OT posters.
