Jay: Why shouldn't SNDK decline, given the scarcity of raw materials? Let me put it to you this way. Remember the oil(raw material) shortage? There was a scarcity of oil in the face of rising demand. What happened? Prices of the product soared through the roof, along with the stock valuations of the companies providing the end product.

Sooooo, in the face of tremendously rising demand(I believe the article stated the flash memory segment would be $9 BILLION by 2003), juxtaposed against limited supply......Why.....supply and demand, baby. Supply and demand. SNDK should do quite well, and their stock valuation should reflect the need to price their products according to that supply and demand curve.

But will it? We'll just have to wait and see. My money says it will longer term, 'cause portable devices are only increasing in market penetration, with no top to the market in sight. Let's see how it goes..

Regards!
