BRK a sure thing...

Yeah right. I've had this 'sure thing' for three years and it is the
dog of my portfolio. Its a bit galling to watch relatively 'blue chip'
tech stocks like MSFT, INTC, NOK etc rise 200%+ and watch BRK
decline, especially over the last 9 months or so.

Thank you for your contribution.
The headline statement is the core question.
Having held IBM stock since for the past 20+ years I have no problem with a longer term outlook.
We often hear financial advisers and stock brokers quote; 'a $1000 investment made in xxx company yyy number of years ago would today be worth xyz $'.
There is no question that Berkshire has been such a stock.
The future growth opportunities is a different matter.
