maybe you're right. but why pay a huge amount for a small piece of the cake (from yahoo's point of view)? yahoo is big enough to say "majority or nothing". agree that it'S fine to have T on the board. right. but why not buy a pure cable provider like the one of HSAC? I' not that heavy into the different companies since i don't live in the states and cable is no topic here right now.

i just doubt the "swallow excite and get a piece of at home" emphasis that is being made in the article. that wouldn't make any sense to me.

but why not a Altavista-CMGI-like aquisition? buy approx. 60% of Excite@Home for a more healthy 10 billion and leave the rest up to T and others?

Still learning on the bigger picture of this rumour...maybe it's the fact that it's a rumour and will remain a rumour...;-)
