The long-term economy and the stock market started rising with the budget deal that Clinton and the then-Democratic congress worked out in 1993. This put us on the path to a balanced budget and lower interest rates, which has been the key to investor confidence and industry investments. Reagan and Bush has 12 years to propose a balanced-budget plan. Took a Democrat to bring fiscal responsibility, but, gee, I wouldn't want to muddle your ideology with facts. Being a badger, you probably haven't been above ground much, so I can understand being confused. ;-)

(I think there are places other than the RNWK thread we can take this, btw. Sorry for the OT, but I felt I had to respond.)
