I agree with you as well PAL. This was the best thread for information on CMGI, which is why I'm here reading posts. Unfortunately, it's turned into a thread with more of a focus on getting 100 IPO shares than keeping up with CMGI. I hope things change or there will be no reason for many of us to keep reading. Heck, I hate to have to go to the RB for info.

Best Regards,
Bretsky

How long can you discuss fundamentals? What is the value of trying to
artificially determine the overall worth of a company like CMGI, when
the value of its assets is so hard to accurately quantify? IPO's related
to the mother stock are not relevant to the topic? Isn't a thread a place
for people to help each other, sharing all kinds of information? Go look
at the DELL thread--they discuss everything under the sun, and it gets as much
action as any SI thread.
Alas, everyone has their own idea of what others "should" be offering them!
You guys can talk fundamentals until you're blue in the face, if that is your thing--
but it is no more meaningful than the universe of stuff related to this stock.
And yes, a sure-fire dividend in the form of a hot IPO is sure worthy of discussion.
These companies that have been incubated by CMGI are tomorrow's earnings.

Sunny, Paul, et. al. I have not seen a lot of news out lately regarding CMGi. We have discussed valuations in the past and not much has changed except for the addition of the Directed Share Program and the associated IPOs. Each of these IPOs will add to the value of CMGi so they have a direct impact on the CMGi thread.

We are in the midst of a general down-turn in the net stock market. The number of relevant posts will continue to drop as the trend continues down. CMGi's fundamentals have not changed, the market has. I might add that, for the most part, we are all well aware of CMGi's potential for the future, that is why we are long on the stock. The very moment genuine rally is detected you will see a tremendous reversal in the number of posts on this or any other board.

The reason you don't see the total number of posts here that you find on Yahoo or RB is because this board is not free. You will see lots of off-topic stuff discussed there too.

I hope you stay with us and contribute when the opportunity arises. In any case, best of luck to you in your investment decisions.

Jim
