Neocon, Cruising through the thread this morning....noticed your note. Yes, the White House does monitor internet conversations. In fact, some of the personnel participate. On Free Republic, I have noticed posters with e-mail addresses of whitehouse.gov. Free Republic has had to fight to stay on-line. So has World Net Daily due to a an "IRS directed" tax audit. They must know about these discussions as well. However, this site has a limited audience, so it is not as "worrisome" to them. Plus, much of the thread content consists of "p***ing matches" between posters. Under Clinton' direction, much of Lexus-Nexus was set-up as an information system which is in use in the White House. It is the most extensive information system in existence. The information available to them on-line is scary. All they need is your SS number. (I knew someone who worked on the project to set up the system.) The realization of the era of "Big Brother is watching you" is much closer than you think. Btw, take a look at the latest article I posted up over on the Clinton Scandals thread. Clinton wants to establish a bureau to handle "spin".
