All of you that are saying that all the major banks will be online just don't understand. Do you think that a
huge bank is going to offer 5% on a free checking account? Do you think they'll offer CD rates this high?
Do you think they'll do any number of things? Don't you realize that a big bank with tons of customers
already CAN'T do these things because that would mean that they'd have to give their existing customers
those deals which would take a huge chunk out of their existing revenue whereas a company with fewer
customers can afford to do this because they're trying to ATTRACT new customers. That's the difference
between a fat brick and mortar bank and a new online bank. That's why there are banks like Wingspan
which is actually a subsidiary of a larger bank (FCC Natioal). That's the only way that a larger bank can get
the mobility to compete online. USABanc.com is unique because it's a true bank (unlike Netbank and
Telebanc) that is still small enough that it can make a huge entrance to competing online. It's like Ali, "move
like a butterfly, sting like a bee"... stick and jab and keep on moving. Small, agile, but producing revenue
and growth. Now it's up to their marketting department.
