Yes Kirk: Those West Coast supply disruptions from operating challenges at Chevron and Tosco refineries have caused California pump prices to soar benefiting companies with lots of marketing out there, especially ARCO - THE ONLY major so far to report increased Second Quarter Normalized Earnings (up 113% from last years' second quarter). Those Puget Sound Refinery explosion deaths last November were tragic!

By he way, who votes for all those California environmental laws you described so well anyway that require special gasoline formulations out there ?

I certainly agree with your point that "Sooner or later, market forces will rule and the price will drop".
