We will probably get an apartment, so that is not a large problem. The lack of parking is a concern...I would prefer to live in the city; we would rather live in NW than, say, Capitol Hill; I do not want to live too far outside the city limits, and refuse to live outside the Beltway (why move?, I live in a beautiful area); too much of PG County around the city has deteriorated, even Takoma Park is a bit too raggedy for my taste; and therefore, we must stay near or below East-West Highway. Anywhere we turn will be expensive, with those criteria....The one hope to moderate expense would be Silver Spring, near the Park (Beach Drive). Since my favorite area deli is there (the Parkway, off of Grubb Road), there is a certain appeal, but we would prefer being near Connecticut or Wisconsin Aves....
