This is starting to feel like a bottom, no? Everyone's completely bearish. Brokerage stocks are bottoming soon I think, look at the volume on EGRP and analysts are coming out with negative comments. I've covered most of my puts and am just waiting for a bounce. Just holding PCLN, ATHM, EXDS and CMGI puts at the moment.

This time I'm not going to make the mistake I made last month of over-trading or buying back in too early.

James.

Hi Michelle,

I'm not buying anything long term right now. I bought CMTN, BRCM and CYMI today, but I'll be keeping a pretty close watch on all of them. (Right now I am underwater on BRCM, doing OK on the other two.)I didn't get filled on QCOM, and am kicking myself for not leaving a GTC buy at the 50 ema (138ish), which is where it bounced hard the last time it corrected.

JNPR's awesome, but I have made as much trading it as I ever reasonably expect to in such a short period of time, so I'm leaving it alone for now. It is definitely on my shopping list if we get a scary down day later this fall, but near term the risk of vaporware announcements from CSCO or LU (via Nexabit) to a stock that richly valued is enough to keep me away.

Bottom line, I'm mostly hiding in cash these days. I'll leave the heroics to KIS et al.
