I'm curious to see if we can continue this downtrend this week (apart from the sure to come rally late this afternoon) what would happen on Friday with the employment data.

The jobs number means jack, but what would really be nice is if it comes in lower than expected (say 50,000 new jobs) but a nice increase in the hourly wage...maybe 3 or 4 cents). That would destroy the bond market as it would show the economy slowing down but labor inflation picking up large. Which is exactly what Greenspan and company is looking at. If that's the case, there could be a severe rout which could lead up nicely to Howard's Aug 11 scenario.

Wishful thinking in the end, because as we all know...crashes are a myth.
