William, I don't like either brokerage. . .and as online brokerage stocks go, I much prefer SIEB, NDB, TWE, IFSX and WITC . . but I have no doubt that by the end of the year, EGRP and AMTD will be right back at the top of the heap. . . for little reason other than that they were crowed the king and queen of online brokerages. . . they have the biggest advertising. . .and they have had a nice history of blowing away the street with earnings. The "best" companies rarely get rewarded with the highest valuation. The popular ones do.

Again, as I replied to your post. . . I believe that the next earnings report will be low, but not vs. same quarter last year. . .because revs were low then too. . . very low. . .since the big migration toward online trading was in its infancy then.

So I think that the "warning" put out by whichever journalist. . . is more smoke. Again, I am watching for further declines before making any such moves.
