and save all that 'frightened for me' stuff for yourself, sonny. as i recall: you are the one planning on walking halfway across the united states to your daddy's in the pacific northwest when it gets tough in DC after your 2 weeks of water and 3 weeks of food run out. What friggin' business is of yours pal what I do or where I go?? That is my contingency plan because that is what MY WIFE and MY PARENTS WANT, you MORON!! If we go out there, it will be because there is not much left here worth staying for. The entire scenario is HIGHLY UNLIKELY since DC will enjoy 1st dibs on emergency relief (you can't have the US Capital in chaos, now can ya, you fool?) And in case you conveniently ignore other comments, I'm not the only one who has discussed either moving their parents to them, or moving back with their parents. When in times of trouble, the only thing you can REALLY COUNT ON IS YOUR FAMILY, no matter where they are. God... I hope you don't have kids. And I hope if you do have 'em, they were lucky enough not to inherit your obviously undesirable personality traits. don't insult the intelligence of those of us who have damn near thought of it all and are prepared and continuing to prepare who hang out on here hoping to help or pick up a clue as to what the government in particular is up to, just because you haven't. Yeah, yeah, yeah... We're still waiting for you and your better half to type out that Y2K information briefing you promised us. Remember?? The one where you tell us what you think the government leadership SHOULD be saying? It's so easy for people like yourselves to ridicule others and spout your conspiracy theories or darkest fears about the world. Personally, I would rather you keep your insecurities to yourself and off of this thread. I don't care HOW many years "young" you are. Fortunately, the majority of your generation were builders and problem solvers and not whining cry-babies afraid of their own shadow. And I personally believe that it is the same with the current silent majority of Americans. Otherwise, this nation would never have progressed as far as it has. So while you cower in fear of each and every passing day in anticipation of Y2K and world apocalyse, the rest of us will carry your "water" and make your world safe for you. Not because you particularly deserve it, but because it's in OUR INTEREST. And btw, it really SICKENS me that I have to lower myself to your level of "depends-wetting" immaturity. I'm sick of your harassment of others who taking a FAR MORE level headed and fatalistic perspective on Y2K, and not freaking out.
