Morgan, the point was not to stress that MSFT was a tech bellweather, but more to focus on the fact that the NASDAQ had run out in front of MSFT without its participation --- and for me, that is not sustainable. Once the two converge, I then believe that MSFT will help carry the Market forward.

I do not see a lot of downside risk in MSFT at these levels, and I certainly do not see a Bear Market on the horizon. I think the bulls will surprise people how quickly they will return, in fact. I give you and others a lot of credit that can day trade the "daylights" out of this Market successfully, though that strategy is not one that I participate in.

Good luck with the short plays. I am simply trying to pick a "good point" to add to my core positions, regardless of whether the Market continues to move up or down in the near term. And in my opinion, we are quickly approaching a point where I pull the trigger.

Actually, a TA Specialist friend of mine has suggested that MSFT is on its way to completing (and then breaking out of) a beautiful "Cup & Handle" formation.

What do you think of MSFT's chart?
