Some news on Pharmos: 1. Spoke with Gale Smith, Pharmos IR. The annual shareholders meeting will take place in NYC, Oct. 13, 1999, at the Intercontinental Hotel, starting around 4-4:30 PM. Details will be available with the proxy materials. 2. Gale and others are working hard on getting exposure for Pharmos through various media. The web page will be completely renovated and up to date. 3. Sturza's latest assessment of Pharmos (8/5/99) is a BUY recommendation -- no price target -- but cautions that share price will remain sluggish until partnership or profitability. They continue to believe that PARS current valuation does not reflect the potential of currently marketed products nor the development pipeline. In short, a cautiously optimistic and positive review. As the saying goes, "It takes patience to pick roses". Zvi

<Regardless of how good early results are for a new drug candidate, it is not easy to work out the kind of deal with big pharma many people on this thread, and perhaps management, have been expecting (here's a lot of money and a fat royalty plus we'll do all the work). This is especially so when the small company is cash constrained> Amen to that. Refer to IMGN for a very similar situation. (I owned PARS 97/98 & sold for a nice profit; looks like a good time to get back in at orig. price.)
