This may explain why NSM is keeping 0.35u processor. From MrMike on Yahoo.

"you need to keep a few things in mind about the Fab and Amelio : it was to be a 0.35u Fab . When Halla bought Cyrix, then the jump to 0.25/0.18 came about; that added a LOT of cost over the original $$

Well,guess what the Analog and mixed signal designers are using at NSM : 0.35u,5 Volt technology, because they need the 5 Volts for most analog applications! Halla turned the Fab into overkill/over expensive/excess capacity white elephant.
