I read on this thread, last week I think, that there are no cheerleaders on this forum, only investors... Yeah, right! Sometime in the past the standards bodies were their to advance technology. Now its who can drive it the hardest for their own corporate marketing needs. Cisco has excelled in this area. Speaking of MPLS: I haven't followed very closely but it looks like a layer two forwarding scheme with the forwarding decision made out of band via some label distribution protocol, kinda like Frame relay with an out of band circuit manager. The current MPLS supports no traffic engineering so what do actually get with MPLS?
