large amounts of puts is sometimes coincidental to large institutional buying of the common for hedge purpose, or so I've heard. I haven't performed any studies on the matter.

Hi tony sidhu; It appears to me that the big guys (particularly MONT, today) are selling MSFT to the daytraders.

As I write, the daytraders are trying to get out of their long MSFT positions, with some lack of success...
