New s/w A Component-Based Approach to DSP Algorithm Programming Arda Erol, Spectrum Signal Processing Inc., Canada As DSPs are becoming more widely used, and the time to market is becoming very critical, there is a growing need for the reusability and portability of DSP software. In this paper, we discuss several different levels of component based DSP programming, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each. As an example, we present an application framework that is currently under development, which employs these component based techniques. Perhaps Larry BWSI is a better traders haven/ SSPI is a systems application company and while they are both dsp companies they aren't competitors.
