Les, It is an odd contest. The companies don't want to have to run expenses through the loss statement (formerly an income statement <g>). And most folks think expenses do belong on the income statement. The problem is, much of the huge profits these cos. have been reporting would totally disappear. And the true pe ratio for the S&P 500 would probably double to Tokyo levels before 1989.

I think the cos will spend a lot of money bribing govt. officials to make certain nobody messes with the options scam.

Now, the other problem I've got is why they asked the bass player from The Rolling Stones for his opinion. <g>
