It is probably a screaming buy here and Cube should defend/let the analysts know that it is doing fine RIGHT NOW. I do not disagree. It should be the analysts that are following the stock that should "pound" the table and say that this is a stock to buy. Somehow they have not been convinced by the earnings and Cube management. They are being blind and not looking at the growth potential. More and more I read about the SUNW chip, it looks like it might have contributed to the fickleness of the Cube investors.

You were looking at the SOX index. Cube is not a chip company. Look at the competitors: quote.yahoo.com

Does Cube have any defense against a takeout by another company, a poisoned pill or other such "shareholder protections". There has been many rumors of a buy out that have not panned out and I wonder if the reason is that management is simply not interested.

Not that they should be but I wonder why they seem so indifferent to the share price when the company could easily be taken out at these levels.
