JM - I don't sy that holding shares long term is no longer the way to invest. All I have said is that it seems clear to me that there are a whole bunch of people out there who seem only to own stocks for a period of about three weeks each quarter. It has happened with predictable regularity for the last three quarters. I agree with you totally about Mr G except that he did say to the Congress that a collapse of the stock market wouldn't necessarily have allthat bad an effect on the economy and he cited Japan as an example.
