I like the thought in your last sentence but am not sure the two can be separated (Go ahead and wear yourself out kid but it can't be done).

As for the first sentence, am I to assume you think the Wonder Bra is a "bad" thing?

I mean myths in the same way as Joseph Campbell means myths -- a very rough definition which I will want to think more about before being committed to defending but will start with, could be stories, not necessarily true but conveying truth, which serve to pass on societal values. George Washington and the cherry tree is an American myth. It probably never happened, but it conveys values which contribute to the best ideals of America.

Aside: 193 messages on Feelings in only a few hours -- my gosh, I have another life! I spent a few hours with the family, checked in before I head for bed, and wham. I'm going to check the messages to me and maybe try to check a few more, but if there are important messages in the bunch that I might miss, feel free to point me to them.
