Yeppers. I know all about priceline, because I started playing puts when the market was not really correcting. Priceline has support in the mid-70s and usually swings between 75 and 81, and I was playing that but now I will just hold my puts. Maybe somebody here can comment on the TA for pcln.. I think once the 70s are broken then 58, then no support but I'm not sure.

Priceline is a good company and has analyst backing but bleeds money like Amazon (and to be honest, I don't know why they need to spend so much). They do have a "patented business model" so ok. But the real deal with them is that they were the first IPO available through e-trade so it was a big media event. And there are 14mm shares in the float, which is not much, but starting next month the insiders can dump. Also the airlines own a bunch and they will be dumping. I believe the low float is the only thing that holds the stock up and so far its worked. But soon... look out below.

In this one about the debt offering, notice the attention to detail of the insider sell window. Why put this in the PR? Because WS is nervous about it, I think.

Any employee choosing to exercise and sell options earlier than the 180-day post-IPO release date will be required to agree to enter into a ``lock-up' agreement in the same form as that signed by selling shareholders in the secondary offering, which will prohibit additional option exercises or stock sales prior to 180 days from the completion of the secondary offering.
