I do appreciate your info about the banks. Still waiting for any citations or articles to reference, though, before I can claim to have "learned that the banks are already going to be closed."

i'm entitled to respect. i don't ask for it. i just act as if i have it and have no problem pointing out to the younger generation when i am not being recorded the respect i deserve. You're entitled to SQUAT, bearcub. This attitude is antiquated as those ancient mainframes your so worried about. Respect, NO MATTER HOW OLD OR YOUNG YOU ARE, is a mutual condition. You obviously have no respect for anyone but yourself. And in fact, by the way you carry on about doom & gloom scenarios, it is apparent to everyone but you, that you probably don't have much self-respect either. Face it bearcub... few people are standing up to praise you or defend you (except for Ken who is your kindred spirit of apocalyptic demise). Any self-respecting individual would realize when they are out of line and have violated social norms of behavior. But not you... You frankly don't care and have now degenerated your efforts into some sadistic attempt to punish all who once enjoyed debating and discussing Y2K on this thread. You and Ken have destroyed that spirit of debate so that you can have a place you can dominate with your hysterial attitudes. Well have at it, bearcub. I'll vote for a name change to the thread. We can call it "Ken and Bearcubs doom and gloom Y2K thread"..... Or maybe... "How will the world end?? Let K & B count the ways." Will that finally make you boys happy??
