Bottom:

I think the bottom in the nuts at least (which lead the market) is perhaps as early as tomorrow morning when the margin call induced selling begins. I don't see the margin players being able to make it past Friday (Monday at the latest) with a max of 3 days to "make good" (or have the stocks recover).

The poster boy appears to have held its' 200 day on high volume today, just as it did on its' June low:

While MACD disagrees, money flows and stochastics appear very near a bottom. This looks like a retest from the June lows (which would have been the 9 month cycle low if we had used 8/31 instead of 10/6/98 for our bottom).

If we are going to turn (as opposed to entering a very nasty bear market for the general market as well), I think we will be turning sooner than later.

Gary, i wouldn't be surprised...most have broken their 200-dma's to the downside and based on the wave count i see quite a bit more downside in the medium term, of course with the occasional sharp short covering bounce thrown in.

regards,
