Sorry, Sunny, I've been absent from SI alot lately.

I think, in a way, you answered your own question. I seriously doubt MTI will become another EMC but, then, does it really have to be an either/or proposition from an investors standpoint? I think not.

Unless something has changed since I left EMC five years ago, the storage market is neither sexy nor polite. It's dog eat dog every day, every deal. The better mouse trap theory doesn't usually apply.

IMO, EMC got to where they are today on PRICE and pitbull AGGRESSION. I think Earl is learning that all the patents in the world won't make a customer sign the deal. He stated in this most recent Q that they need to beef up his sales team. Only the uninitiated would read this as merely a headcount issue. A laid-back, west coast, do lunch M.O. won't carry MTI into the big time.

That said, it seems the worlds' appetite for storage is growing exponentially. Plenty of room for EMC, STK, IBM, SUNW, LMNOP, and, of course, MTI!

BWDIK....

I don't think anyone was ignoring your question here. Rather, I am guessing that we are not able to answer. You may want to check out the Yahoo board. It has been invaded lately by a short, but there are some very technical and good people over there. The action in this stock tells me that something is happening here.

I suggest you read some of the white papers. Why would EMC buy patents from MTIC if EMCs technology was superior?
