Earlier this year LU defended their stock by stating that the quarter was on target. Afterwards the stock continued to fall, and a group of stockholders began to throw a fit. They felt LU management was wrong for setting the precedence of defense, because now every time the stock falls a few points, if they don't speak it will be considered a negative.

There's no pleasing you or me or any other stockholder, so I don't blame them for not even trying.

Like Don, I don't see the merit in making an announcement about the stock's declining price. I often wonder about companies who make such announcements, as they seem desperate to keep the stock price afloat instead of allowing the market to value the stock as it sees fit. We may not like it, but the market doesn't see as much value in CUBE as we do.
