Re: I tried to buy it the other day when it bounced off the 20 day band on a big white candle

I know the candle well.

With that said I disclose a large position in the low $40's. Anyone that knows me well also knows that I like to play a stocks roll if it is predictable enough. AOL's movements have been predictable up until the highly publicized summer sell-off grew near.

The candle you refer to was in the near $100 area, guess who was a buyer? Now guess who is a cash holder with the exception of my AOL $42?

As a young child I was fascinated by fire. As an adult I just can't help myself! AOL and other Internet stocks are my fire.

And you said; anybody who tries to step under this knife is foolish, let the big money try to rescue this thing and build a base before entering.

My advise to any lurkers is if you have it in a long term position as I do, hold it. If you want it, wait until August is over.

I doubt there are too many short term traders that still hold AOL against their better judgment as it has fallen from the $170's to today's low of $86.

IMHO

Ps: I truly don't think $50 is technically doable. However I do have a target.

Bobby; Lot's of volume on AOL today..makes $86 critical tomorrow,
if she don't go below $86 tomorrow she should rally to the 110
level in a few weeks, bar a market melt down.

I'm not saying her down side is over, but that she does seem short
term over sold. Longer term I don't like AOL, they have used the
shares as money and made a buys in haste , and haste makes waste.

They spent money ( shares like crazy ) and paid premium prices
for most of the stuff , all that has diluted the heck out of her
and turning the corner on her investments is not going to be
easy. Looks like most of what she spent in Japan is dead money
now, of course I predicted the Japanese would milk her then
eat her lunch when she went there.

After this nut mania is over AOL will be just another once was
just like IOM. Really big Cos like AT&T will in time get around
to muscling her aside.

But for now if she don't dip below $86 tomorrow she is a short term buy, if she does dip below that run like hell, as I think it
will also signal some really bad stuff for the entire market.

bb. You see we bulls are getting accused of shunning or badmouthing posters like you and Rarebird. We do listen to reasonable discussions but coming on threads we own stock in just to further your agenda, makes my skin crawl. You bought the ticker GOLD the other day. I guess it did not work out at that time. I think you had a bit of luck today if you still own that ticker. I guess I should say that it is kind of you to be so concerned, especially since you do not own any AOL, but as far as I am concerned you can take a hike.

But posts like these is what irks us, not honest discussions about AOL. In times like these we are getting all the gold nuts and shorts. Do you see us posting on your threads? No. We are trying to make our fortune by picking stocks, right or wrong, and even decide if we want to buy or sell. But you all prey on investors in the worst way. Not to deny that some of our investors also play this game a bit. But at least some HAVE been on this thread in good and bad times.

You strictly come here for your own petty cause.
