Actually It was the 80386-33 vs the Amd 80386-DX40.

Yes, thanks. I stand corrected. This was a few months after I bought a 80386-20 from a little startup computer mail order house named Gateway 2000 so I should have remembered.

As far as AMD stock? Well...the rest was History.

I actually doubled my investment in AMD on two different occasions during the 1991-1993 time frame. Not only that, I actually took those gains both times instead of giving them back, unlike most of the wild-eyed AMDroids I'm sure.
