Guys, guys, guys, a little perspective is in order here.

ANCR has enjoyed a run-up in price recently, not solely on ANCR's economic merits.

Recent "price runup" due to end of June window dressing by funds - not because of ANCR's business merits but more because buying had to be done in "short" order. Stock had to be bought in a matter of days, on short notice and MM's knew it, supply and demand kicks in - prices rise. Think back to the psychology of all of us at the time - most held tight to those shares, limiting supply, correct? Thus the price rose, and rose. Now it is time to earn that rise, hence a minor price "adjustment".

Couple that "adjustment" with the "correction" that comes with a general dull summer market. Guess what, fewer and fewer, and/or less willing buyers. Funds under no pressure to buy elect to wait. Supply and demand kicks in - lower prices. Retail buyers, listening to the relentless CNBC / media drumbeat, elect to wait rather than buy now.

Couple that "market context" with the jitters about the secondary. "Jitters" you ask? Look at some recent posts suspecting the company made a deal allowing underwriters a "discount" and in effect blessing a "plan" to sabotage the stock price. Utter NONSENSE!

Couple that with the Greenspan talk, which was so ambiguous it pleased everybody with an agenda, thus furthering "jitters".

ANCR holders - if all would stop selling and return to listening to that inner voice that guided you to pick this stock in the first place, and just ride out this temporary, predictable condition, a condition that was even obvious to some (shorters, yes give SOME of them credit).

Sit back, refocus, post a message, and let the market do its work, let the company do its work, and wait, . . . the time span that has ALWAYS been used in any serious analysis and company claim is still way off. There is plenty of time left for the price to work back to our original expectations (that were luckily, if temporarily) accelerated by the end of June window dressing. I for one am thankful for that as it has made me a better, more seasoned investor.

Deja vu for sure! I remember telling my wife I will never let tax consequences deter me from taking profits again......well, I did. When friends asked why I wasn't selling, I would say (in late June/early July) "I can't! It's going up too fast!"; and it was. I have to admit that I fell into the greed game and must still be very much into it because I bought more today. If I sold out tomorrow I would still be way ahead of my expectations, and would be able to say we did very well with our ANCR investment. I, too, believe that this current downdraft is, as you say, a product of manipulation by the "powers that be" for a variety of reasons.

My biggest fear has little to do with the actual money. At this point of such a difficult and excruciating process, I fear looking stupid! I know my friends and associates have started to follow ANCR in the morning paper. They don't know the extent of our new found "wealth", but they are tracking it! They say things like "Wow! You had a bad day yesterday!" I have been such a public advocate of ANCR in our little circle that they all know we have "hung our hat" on ANCR and will be judging the wisdom of our commitment. The truth is that that we will live out a very nice retirement with or without the outcome of this investment, but I just need to justify the inordinate amount of time I (and now WE ) have spent on this endeavor. I have vowed that when we finally sell out I will never own an individual stock again! My chances of catching such a ride as ANCR has provided are more slim than catching a walleye bigger than the 13 pounder that hangs on our wall. With the walleye, my success was dumb luck! This ANCR thing started out that way and grew into an obsession! I am embarrassed to say that I live on a lake and have not fished it once this summer. That is SICK!

So, what does this have to offer to SI ANCR thread? Clearly nothing technical nor illuminating. I just like the opportunity to share with other Ancorites what I am experiencing. I know there are others like me who dare not offer information about our stock, but may be experiencing the same emotional roller coaster. Thanks for your ears!.. I mean eyes!
