*cdmaOne/Telecom NZ* They don't seem to be in a hurry. Now reported that they won't be in operation until early 2001. Good grief! No report on supplier. Total value reported as $200m only, and they didn't specify currency so that might be NZ$. If so, it isn't enough to replace the existing network by a long way, so it might be they'll just do a part way overlay and sell dual mode handsets for some time.

900,000 total wireless subscribers of which Vodafone's GSM has 200,000. Total population only 3.8m.
