Deerbrook to Offer Free Commerce Enabled Web Sites to Artists and Galleries

Internet Division ArtUp.com will be First to Offer Art Business-to-Business Transactions

PHOENIX, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Deerbrook Publishing Group (OTC Bulletin Board: DBPG - news) announces that the ArtUp.com Network will begin offering free electronic commerce enabled web sites to galleries and artists who wish to sell their works online. Artists and galleries can currently pre- register for the free sites at www.artup.com. Artists and galleries will be able to begin uploading images and textual information concerning their wares before the network launch later this month.

''We want the ArtUp.com Network to become the single largest collection of art related web sites on the Internet. In order to do this, we are going to offer free web sites to any artist or gallery who wishes to sell their products online,'' said Keith Chesser, President of Deerbrook, Inc.

The ArtUp.com Network plans to offer the co-branded web sites free of charge in the same way Tripod.Com offers web sites to individuals and Hotmail.com offers email services. Artists and galleries will only pay if they actually sell their works using the site. ArtUp.com plans on charging a commission to the seller when the work is sold.

''This is only part of our strategy to build the biggest network of art related web sites online. We know that to build a successful electronic commerce enterprise you need to build a community first. By offering artists and galleries a way to showcase their work, we are building the infrastructure for that community,'' said Keith Chesser, President of Deerbrook, Inc.

The pre-registration process will allow artists and galleries to reserve a web site. Prior to the ArtUp.com Network formal launch, they will be able to complete the registration process and begin uploading their works. Pre-registrants will be notified by email once the system is ready to begin accepting inventory.

''Our development team is putting the final touches on the system. Over the next few months, we will be rolling out more services for artists and galleries, as well as, collectors, distributors and publishers. We want the ArtUp.com Network to become the hub of the online art community,'' said Keith Chesser, President of Deerbrook, Inc.
