ALL (& Gary):

I believe comparing the new Slot A/B with Microchannel is more
appropriate. Intel has proved that it can change the socket/slot
the way it wants, now let's see what AMD can do in this area.
It is the first time they are not using what is built and
left by Intel and do it all by their own.

Actually if IBM starts making Alpha's at decent prices, motherboard vendors will love the K7 FSB. It will allow them, with little modifcation to have a 'presence' in the ultra-high end (and co-incidentally ultra-high price) RISC workstation market.. all for almost nothing.

Regards,

Steve
