Following yesterday's speculation of a Pokemon deal, I sent the following email to Ron Goldenberg:

Dear Mr. Goldenberg,

Congratulations on your company's outstanding quarter.

There is a fairly widespread rumor that Grand Toys is close to signing a deal to produce various Pokemon items, including kites, balls and
stationery. Is there any truth to this rumor? If so, when do you
anticipate closing one or more of these Pokemon deals?

Any clarification of this rumor is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin McKenzie

I received this reply:

THE DEALS HAVE ALL BEEN NEGOTIATED WITH THE LICENSOR AND WE HAVE THE CONTRACTS TO SIGN. WHEN WE SIGN THEY SIGN AND THEY CASH OUR CHEQUE IT IS THEN OFFICIAL.

The all caps were Mr. Goldenberg's, not mine.

I don't really know what to make of this. It seems some sort of Pokemon deal is forthcoming.

GRIN's response to my query regarding deal with KIDE...

1. In addition to Pokemon contract which GRIN reports is in the works, I asked Ron Goldenberg about a business combination. I sent my e-mail at 8pm last night...response returned at 8:50 am today.

...(OT) you get the feeling that GRIN cares about shareholders????
...(OT) sorta get tired of the way other companies blow me off!!!

2. Looks to me like both companies are very similar.

3. Without over-hyping this...ie put your own spin on it...CFO says "nothing in the works yet" with regard to a merger, acquisition or any other business combination.

4. I would be overjoyed to see them combine. JMHO.

Good Luck!
