What actually has been happening is that there is an internal sector rotation from second to first tier internets as the latter trades at a larger discount.Institutional buying is significant in AMZN. These MM manipulators are going to catch a few shorts. Further troubling, is that these manipulators will turn this stock, and the whole sector because:
1) Protect the lucrative IPO mkt, 28 money making deals in suspension.
2) Make more money for clients who are entering, recover other losses.
3) Face: What does it say for the research/analytical prowess of a firm that has a 280 price tgt with a stock trading at 95? What is their slogan? "The research you need before you invest"
I think it is very possible, that the elephants will turn the stock when it is most beneficial to them. This "weak hand" term is simply ignorant.
GST, me thinks thou doth protest too much. Cool it, they will think we are all a bunch of liars. Serious, when you start believing your own touting you can get burned. You should cover any short position and wait until we get a solid close below 90 on strong vol. then go, otherwise, be careful of the elephants they are moving. Trust me on that.

True or False: AMZN's U.S. book sales declined in 99Q2, compared to 99Q1?

I submit that the only reasonable interpretation of the data is that this statement is true.

Tom,

Don't make the mistake of extrapolating data about AMZN from generalized sources of info re: the Web.

Your statement is not an informed one. AMZN doesn't break out their sales figures.
