Bulls, Re: Background I am a long term shareholder, very interested in IDC. Never worked for IDC. I'm trying to learn enough about the technology to be able to carry on a decent conversation and hopefully explain the basics to other interested investors. I have no formal technical training, so I have to do a lot of studying, trying to piece together the pieces of the puzzle. My post was based on that study. I tried out those same ideas on Raging Bull folks a couple of weeks ago and am adjusting it based on what I'm hearing. Doctorate from Vanderbilt, but not in tech. Certified financial planner (CFP). I've picked up very helpful info from Darrell Smith and Jim Lurgio here and on Raging Bull. I'll be editing a new web site on telecommunications technology stocks -- with lots of help from folks on Raging Bull and elsewhere. IDC will be the first "focus stock" there. It will include a section on "Telecom Technology for Non-Techies," a beginners level introduction to telecommunications technology. Hope that helps you sense what the "filters" are that I'm using as I digest IDC info. Thanks to all who post (and lurk) here! Bill
