Because of all the hardship and misery I had to endure while camping last week, my memories of my 1999 wilderness trip with my kids will be very fond indeed. I had both hands impaled on a fishing lure, faulty shoes that left my feet bleeding after day one, and a bad case of poison ivy! Despite all that, every night around the camp fire we talked about the good times during the day and looked forward to what tomorrow might bring. Some of the highlights of the trip were that I caught & released my biggest Smallmouth bass ever, my son went out alone and caught dinner for all of us every night, and the fact that my teenage children wanted to spend time with me at all, let alone 6 nights in the wilderness, has me feeling pretty good about life right now. I wouldn't have been caught dead with my parents when I was a teenager!

Why should I share these thoughts with you? Who cares about my trip anyway? Well, as far as I'm concerned my trip was a lot like my investment in LONE. The reason we've had such a great group of people on this thread was because of the difficult times. Every stock I've done well in has left me with ZERO desire to associate with anyone who posts on the thread. I have truly enjoyed the company and am glad I'm involved with LONE despite where we sit today.

Anyway, enough of my philisophical(sp) BS. Thanks to all of you. Glen I wish you the best and EXPECT to keep hearing from you from time to time so we can eventually get together again. I'll be here for a while yet so I'll see you all around the camp fire!

ALWAYS HAPPY,

WALLEYE
