Jim, I only use the crash index to make me watch the market a little more closely. I will wait a week or two before entering into long term positions in case there is further drop in the market, but I think it's ok to still play the short term with watch list and earnings plays. I think the index just confirms what Jenna had been saying all month - after earnings season the market probably will drop so take your profits. The index is wrong about half the time, but they say they never missed calling a big decline. John
