I was impressed by the article until I read the above quote. Singer isn't denying global warming, he's just saying he thinks it may be "generally beneficial." Isn't that beside the point? Singer's opinion of whether global warming is beneficial is reassuring, but it's a far cry from stating that the status quo won't be changed in ways we cannot foresee.
