Congragulations! Jenna, on this wonderful press. Finally!

Monkey's random strategy works
Why worry about all these new Internet funds? It doesn't take much to beat them in a bull market. In fact, a monkey is doing just that. Earlier, the Internet Stock Review announced its MonkeyDex, Wall Street's first index of publicly traded Internet and new-economy stocks selected by a chimpanzee. And I'm not kidding.
That's right, a chimp is still making a monkey in the Internet world. The 10 stocks in this MonkeyDex were selected by Raven, a dart-throwing, 5-year-old chimpanzee. Raven is a well-known star of film and television who decided to make a career move and is now competing head-to-head with America's five-star fund managers for the honor of best Internet stock picker of 1999.
Given the the continued strong interest in Internet technologies and the so-called new economy, don't be surprised if one of the exchanges picks up this new index for option traders. Alternatively, individual investors, disappointed with their Wall Street broker's advice, might urge the monkey to reveal the entrants in the portfolio -- and build their own mutual fund around them. In fact, the Raven's index of Internet stocks may be just as valuable as the other 11 Internet indexes we reviewed earlier.
Monkey's unique dart-throwing technique
The mathematically inclined among you are no doubt itching to know the chimp's secret methodology. Actually it's a sophisticated form of technical analysis. Raven threw 10 darts at a dartboard of 133 pre-selected Internet companies. Note that any investor in the world could probably produce similar results by pasting our 11 Internet indexes on a garage wall and throwing darts.
We're told that the chimp's numerous misses were understandably excluded from the portfolio. Such an exclusion decision, of course, is consistent with other more advanced methods of stock picking because portfolio managers rarely discuss their mistakes.
Both Roland Perry, editor of the Internet Stock Review, and David Allsberry, animal trainer with Boone's Animals for Hollywood, assisted in Raven's dart throwing. Perry noted that "Raven had no prior knowledge of how any particular Internet-related companies have been performing.'' That, of course, is another way of saying he took to the playing field without handicapping his Wall Street competitors.
Monkey's talents rival Wall Street pros
Perry also added that Raven "has talents far beyond what we ever dreamed possible, and we feel certain that his picks will surprise many on Wall Street. Only time will tell how his picks pan out, but this much we can say: He is storming right out of the gate with picks like CMGI, which is up 95 in the first six trading days.''
We felt compelled to do an independent review of Raven's portfolio. And, yes, it looks like he's making monkeys of the best Internet fund managers. Here's the comparative results on a year-to-date basis for the funds vs. the monkey's dart-throwing portfolio:
- 97.5% -- Amerindo
- 83.5% -- The Internet Fund
- 83.0% -- MonkeyDex
- 78.4% -- Monument
- 41.5% -- Munder NetNet
- 32.9% -- WWW Internet Fund
So, folks, it looks like Raven the monkey is still in the running for the 1999 championship among Internet stock pickers, beating three of America's top five Internet funds, and nearly beating last year's top-performing American fund, The Internet Fund. Morover, it looks like simple random selection of stocks from an Internet index may prove to be just as successful as buying a fund specializing in Internet technology.
Chimp making a monkey out of Wall Street
How Raven did it, of course, is a very valuable lesson for all investors in America. Some say it's all in his wrist, but we'll never know for sure.
One thing is certain: This extraordinarily gifted chimp hit 10 winners from among the 133 possible Internet stocks on his strategy charts, comparing favorably with the top Internet technology funds. Hey, I'll bet you could do it, too.

Jenna, Jenna, Jenna....

Look, if you don't want to put your self proclaimed genius up on the table and take AP or myself on in a trading competition - please just say so... Instead of saying:

I got two extremely important e-mails (and one phone call) one last night and one this morning from 2 very influencial sources. One you see in CNBC lots of of times a month in the morning and the other has a high position in GNET hierarchy... I was shocked and gratified these distinguished individuals would write or even knew what I was going through or that I even existed.

You don't need to make up stories about super secret contacts you claim to have and thus avoid responding to a direct request... Heck, we all really, really believe important world leaders and TV personalities hang on your every word and jump at the chance to help you... Really - we do...

The request is - Do you DARE to put your talent on showcase and enter a trading competition directly against myself or AP, or, do you want to admit you can not and do not trade nearly as well as we do?

Keep in mind Jenna, the only reason I've challenged you here is you have claimed on numerous occasions that I had both an insignificant account size and I was a tiny little ant when compared to your bigger than life trading skills.

Heck Jenna - why don't you prove to all of us you are as great as you claim you are... Accept the challenge, all trades will be verified by an independent CPA, that way you can't fake entry/exits...

You're not afraid of showing everyone how well you really do are you?

I'm waiting with baited breath to hear from you Jenna, and remember - your silence speaks volumes.

Cheers
