Probably in wideband access, such as the MMDS or LMDS bands. this is line of sight point to point type stuff which is fixed, but high speed. Killed major time by trees. It may be a great business to business type thing, but not your consumer widespread technology. You need to aim an antenna well, have line of sight to the tower (forever, so make sure you have a good tree trimmer...), and be able to use all the bandwidth that you pay for full time on a dedicated t1/t3 type link.
