re: Conclusion: The shares appear to be once again in a buying range.

I see QCOM going to 120s.

Art,

this is not directed at you but I have been receiving a bunch of email and private messages, suggesting a reminder is appropriate.

Subject 29581

The biggest complaint appears to be the off topic one liners. Would appreciate those who have been posting the one liners to use PM when appropriate.

Regarding all the discussion on MOT, I wonder who decided that was the reason why QC sold off yesterday. How many here and on the old thread sold QC yesterday because of the MOT news?

QC filed the declaratory relief action on July 20. MOT has been very quiet but a response is due in court in the immediate future. May be we will soon see what type of strategies are being deployed by both companies behind the scene.

As for competition, some competition is good. MOT's late arrival to the CDMA market could be one of the reasons why GSM was allowed to gain such a foot hold in China. Who could they have purchased a system from a few years ago? We need MOT, ERCIY, LU, NOKIA to all be pushing CDMA. I don't see how QC would be hurt in this process. Remember a smaller percentage of a huge pie is better than a big percentage of a small pie.
