Petrilli changes mind on ETrade position By Bloomberg News Special to CNET News.com August 4, 1999, 6:00 a.m. PT ETrade, the second-biggest Internet brokerage, said Frank J. Petrilli won't join the company from rival TD Waterhouse Group, as announced last month. Petrilli, 48, will return to his job as chief operating officer job at New York-based Waterhouse, the U.S. brokerage unit of Toronto-Dominion Bank. He was to become president of ETrade Securities, responsible for the company's retail brokerage and clearing operations, as well as expanding its mutual fund and financial adviser businesses. Petrilli also was to oversee the firm's move into institutional brokerage.
