Perhaps. I'm no doubting or debating that JFK Jr. may have been a nice person. However, the term "great man" is reserved for people who have accomplished a tremendous amount in their lifetimes: MLK, JFK, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Winston Churchill, etc. But JFK Jr. a "great man?" This was the same guy the media and much of the country was laughing at not too long ago because it took him three tries to pass the New York bar and because he was in his 30's and going nowhere fast (but he was boinking Darryl Hannah, so that was cool). The country's reaction to JFK JR.'s death just illustrates that people psychologically need heros, idles and royalty.
